In 2004, Annette Elliss founded the Sturt Business Centre in Townsville, creating a foundation for new and growing businesses. With an Associate Diploma in Accounting (PTC), registration as a Tax Agent (FTIA), and certification as a Xero Adviser, Annette has dedicated over 40 years to supporting more than 100 local small and medium-sized businesses with accounting and bookkeeping services. Her commitment to ongoing support and training for Xero account users extends throughout Townsville and its surrounds.
Annette’s achievements have been recognized with several awards, including the Bendigo Bank Townsville Business Woman of the Year Award in 2008 and the Owner Manager of the Year Townsville at the 2011 AIM Management Excellence Awards.
In 2023, a new chapter began as Annette’s son, Sam, joined the business. With a Bachelor of Commerce (Economics) and a Diploma in Financial Planning, Sam brings a fresh perspective and expertise to the team. Together, they embarked on a journey to their current state-of-the-art premises, including lift access and on-site parking to further enhance the services offered to local businesses.
